Our Mission

Inclusion creates new career paths in technology for underrepresented communities that are on the other side of the digital divide.

What is Inclusion?

Inclusion is a non-profit dedicated to closing the digital divide. We equip residents from diverse communities with the training, skills, and access required for careers in technology.

Our Vision

It is our vision to see an inclusive and diverse workforce in all fields of technology. We believe that under-represented groups can bring a variety of talents, skills, and experiences to the information economy. Rather than looking to outsource talent and widen the gap of digital divide, we will deliver highly trained candidates from our talented pool of graduates, which tech companies can in-source right in their own backyards.

Our Programs

We work on the front-lines with the communities we serve, offering 6-week modular courses in high-demand programming languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python. Similar courses from other for-profit coding academies can cost students well over $13,500, a sum far out of reach to the residents we serve. Classes are taught by industry experts and go beyond the classroom through immersive field experiences. We also teach them entrepreneurship, business skills and encourage their “hustle.” Our students have attended workshops, hackathons, and panels at industry leading companies such as Google, Spotify, and eBay with Facebook hosting their graduation ceremony in their New York headquarters.
